Usually the documents you create are stored on the Internet, on Google's servers. However, when you need them you can download to your computer to work with OpenOffice or Microsoft Office.
The most exciting feature for me is the possibility by several people to simultaneously edit a document. To me it seemed like a magic. I tried it in class. The projector showed a large, on the wall, a spreadsheet shared by the whole class on Google. Then the contents of the paper changed in real time as each of these was his changes. The
Google chat, which is in the Gmail window, has been successful. Once you understand the mechanism, a smile appeared on the mouths of the participants and went crazy on the keyboard.
